Digital Classroom and Cloud Meeting Collaboration

Below is a list of instructions on how to connect your windows desktop or laptop to your classroom teacher at GRCS.

The following are required. Please contact the school at office@greatriverchristianschool.org for information on how to get a loaner

TROUBLESHOOTING – USING A PHONE AS BACKUP

MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS

Open meeting link in browser.

grcs-zoom-0100 — When provided a meeting link via email or other communication, please navigate to that link in your preferred browser. Google Chrome is the recommended platform, and where we have made our testing and screenshots. To use the web version of Zoom, click on the "click here" link at the bottom of the dialog.

Select to continue with browser version.

grcs-zoom-0150 — Click on the "join from your browser" link at the bottom of the dialog.

Enter meeting password from email and enter your name.

grcs-zoom-0151 — The meeting password can be found in the email invite that you received. This is a "key" to getting into the meeting. If you do not have the password, you will not be able to attend.

Select to "Join Audio by Computer".

grcs-zoom-0153 — Click on the "Join Audio by Computer button in order to use your computer (or device) webcam and microphone.

Accept audio permission request.

grcs-zoom-0154 — Assuming you are using an updated browser and computer operating system, you must allow your browser permission to use your microphone.

Accept video permission request.

grcs-zoom-0155 — Assuming you are using an updated browser and computer operating system, you must allow your browser permission to use your camera.

Changing audio settings.

grcs-zoom-0158 — Using the up arrow by the microphone icon, you can select which microphone and/or speaker devices to use. You may or may not have so many options, based on your computer.

Changing video settings.

grcs-zoom-0157 — Using the up arrow by the microphone icon, you can select which camera device to use. You may or may not have so many options, based on your computer.

If you are using the full Zoom software installation, there are settings for the audio and video within the program.

Adjusting Zoom Audio Settings

grcs-zoom-0350 — From the Zoom video conference window, arrow up on your audio icon to choose Audio Settings.

Testing speakers.

grcs-zoom-0400 — Click on the Test Speakers button to be sure you can hear audio.

Changing speakers.

grcs-zoom-0500 — If you need to change what speakers the application is set to, use the dropdown menu to select a different device.

Testing microphone.

grcs-zoom-0600 — Click the Test Mic button to ensure your microphone is working.

Changing microphone.

grcs-zoom-0700 — If you need to change what microphone the application is set to, use the dropdown menu to select a different device.
